Warning: cute puppies ahead!
Over the Labor Day weekend, scores of big-hearted Humane Society (HSUS) workers
spent their 3-day vacation working as emergency responders in Louisiana, helping evacuate
thousands of pets from the path of Hurricane Gustav.
The Louisiana SPCA and the Louisiana
State Animal Response Team requested the HSUS' assistance to help local authorities and
volunteers set up emergency shelters and relocate animals out of harm's way.
Thanks to
all of their work in Shreveport, these dogs and their owners can rest easy.

Please consider making a contribution to the HSUS' Disaster
Relief Fund. It enables the HSUS to rescue animals victimized by natural and man-made
disasters, keeping them out of harm's way so they don't have to suffer.
