President Bush Photo:  Nothing Like A Good Subliminal Message

Holy George photo ops are abound this holiday season.  I especially like the Reuters photo above, found at Javno.com.  The headline's caption reads: "The White House said President George W. Bush did not recollect being told about the CIA tapes or their destruction before Thursday [December 6th]."

Yes, look at him, how could you not believe him?  He's just a little angel!  It's just the "Democrats' fury." 

So what is going on with the tapes that the CIA destroyed and that Attorney General Michael Mukasey won't talk about?  Same old:

"The Justice Department is telling Congress to keep out of the investigation of the destruction of the CIA tapes that recorded hundreds of hours of torture of two al-Qaida captives.  DoJ wants the federal judge who ordered the department to preserve all evidence relevant to the detentions at Guantanamo Bay to keep out, too.  To Congress, the argument is:  Trust us - we've launched our own investigation, and you'll only get in the way.
