Hillary Clinton - posing with America Ferrera, above - looked ferosh at
the 19th Annual Glamour Women Of The Year Awards on Monday night. Her bronze floorlength gown was topped off
with matching stones and shoes in a matte chocolate shade.
More importantly, of course, was her honor: Hillary
was named as one of Glamour's 10 women of the year, an award given to women making an extraordinary
difference in the world.
According to NY Daily News,
the applause for Hill as she took the stage lasted a full minute. I was privileged to run for
President. Someone asked me
the other day, if you knew how it was all going to turn out, would you do it all over again? I said absolutely. Whether
it's standing up for women who have been denied their rights or being the Secretary of State and carrying the
burden of that office, there are so many ways each of us can make a difference. It may be small but it adds up
over time...You have to be a part of making the changes you want to see. Whether or not you
agree with her politics, you must admit that Hillary Clinton is both influential and an inspiration! Other recipients
of the award were Condoleezza Rice (huh?), Tyra Banks, Nicole Kidman, Chanel's Maureen Chiquet,
Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh, Nujood Ali, Kara Walker, and Jane Goodall.
