New High School Musical Reality Show

Disney is going all out in supporting it's High School Musical
franchise. ABC (owned by Disney) will be airing a new reality show on Sunday. High
School Musical: Get in the Picture will focus on finding the best undiscovered
singers and dancers in the country. The finalists will compete for the starring
role in a video that will be featured in High School Musical 3: Senior Year
that's due in theaters this October.
Nick Lachey will be the host of
the new High School Musical reality show. In a recent interview he said that,
having gone to a performing arts high school himself, he had gone through many of
these experiences. Nick said that thousands of High School Musical fans came out
and auditioned. The winner will get a Disney Records recording contract and a talent
holding deal in addition to starring in the video. Almost like American Idol for kids.
If you're worried that this may be the last High School Musical movie then
maybe you shouldn't be. The word is some new characters are introduced in HSM3 who
are underclassmen so this could carry on indefinitely.
