Hell's Angels Still Pose A Risk

If you thought
that the Hells Angels no longer struck fear in the heart of the masses
then you'd be wrong.
The Custom Rock and Blues Festival that to
have featured Glenn Hughes, Blackfoot, Hanoi Rocks, Molly Hatchet and
others has been canceled. The festival was to have been held in Derbyshire
near London this August.
It was feared that the festival
would prove to be a battleground for rival biker gangs in the aftermath of
the shooting death of Gerard Tobin. Tobin was killed last August while
leaving a biker's festival near Warwickshire. Even though seven men are
awaiting trial for the murder it was a possibility that the Hell's Angels
would choose this time to retaliate so the festival was shut
down.
Hell's Angels is a worldwide organization and most of them
claim that they are law abiding citizens. They do, in fact, participate in
a number of charitable activities such as collecting toys for needy
children.
However, there are those who call themselves "one
percenters". This is a nickname that came about after the American
Motorcycle Association stated that 99% of motorcyclists were law abiding
citizens and one percent were trouble makers.
I guess festival
organizers were worried the one percent would
show.
