Families, Friends Commemorate Heath Ledger's Life And Death
Wednesday, January
23rd, 2008

The tragic death of actor Heath Ledger (who, get it straight,
people, was NOT gay in real life, just in the movie) missed People Mag's
recent special issue of stars who were Gone Too Soon - but already has his own cover for the
February 4th issue. The headline of the mag is, "The Brokeback
Mountain star and 'doting father' is found dead at 28. Friends
remember a complex man who loved life but was drawn to
'excess.'"
Heath's autopsy this morning was inconclusive, so it
will be at least a week before the true cause of death is known. The
NYPD still maintains that suicide is unlikely, Heath's family vehemently
denies that Heath would have taken his own life - it was not in his
character, they insist.
Mara Buxbaum, Heath's
publicist, said "We are deeply saddened and shocked by this
accident."
Michelle Williams' father gave a
beautiful quote about Heath, saying, "I think Tennyson got it right in the
poem when he described someone as having died at a young age but burning
the candles at both ends, and oh what a beautiful flame he made; that was
Heath, what a beautiful flame he made and a great talent...the saddest
thing is his daughter whom he just loved dearly."
Heath's
family read a statement to the press, saying, "He was a down to
earth, generous, kind-hearted, life-loving and selfless individual who was
extremely inspirational to many. Please now respect our family's
need to grieve and come to terms with our loss privately."
Will do. God bless.
