Gut Check America, Not Another Weight Loss Program

Since the economy is going to you know where in a handbasket MSNBC decided
to do a series called Gut Check America. They
want to know how this downturn is affecting you.
Is your job still secure, are you out
of work, are you afraid you'll be out of work? I think we can all say yes to that question. If
you're not already completely freaked out just turn on the television.
Joe Biden was
on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today and said that our economy was the worst it had been
since 1932. He also said we had a hard 20 years ahead of us. 20 YEARS!
Suze Orman was
on Oprah Winfrey and recommended that we have enough in savings to cover 8 months
worth of bills instead of the 3 months worth that I've always heard. She says it'll take
that long to find a new job in this economy.
I also heard a report on the news last
week that retailers would be hiring thousands less part time holiday employees than ever
before because sales are so slow. That'll mean less money for your teen or college student.
Anyways, if you're having a tough time in the current economy, go to MSNBC and sign up to
