GOTA Simultaneously Spoofs Lohan Photoshoot, Announces Move

Yes, sometimes Gallery Of The Absurd's satire is a little over-the-top, and they tend to poke fun at celebrities with all the grace of a bull in a china shop:  but, hey, they don't publish invasive paparazzi shots, and they don't take pictures up people's skirts and videos of their private moments like so many entertainment blogs do these days - so we forgive their sometimes brash bashing in light of their bright combination of humor, and real artwork.

Plus, they are always on top of everything.

With the latest news that Lindsay Lohan posed butt-naked in a New York Magazine photo shoot posing as Marilyn Monroe (we think Monica Corcoran said it best with her article entitled "Lindsay Lohan:  You're No Marilyn Monroe"), Gallery Of The Absurd published one combination post today:  an acrylic, ink, and Photoshopped adaptation of "The Freckled Seductress Lindsay Lohan" (above); and the announcement that Gallery of the Absurd has merged with Holy Candy to become CircusHour.com, which will officially launch tomorrow.

"Unlike Gallery of the Absurd, which I could only update around 3-4 times a week," GOTD wrote, "Circus Hour posts will be updated several times a day.  In addition to my illustrations, Circus Hour will include...other aspects of mass culture that have, for some time now, bewildered and amused me."
