Dear ConnieTalk:  Why Is Goldman Sachs Financing Our Elections?

If you've been around here long, you know that we love to post letters from readers, whether it's a question, or just some hilarious hatemail.  We would not be here at all if we didn't want to know what YOU are interested in reading about!  On that note, we found this recent letter from a reader named Kate to be quite interesting.

Thanks for your e-mail.  We've checked out OpenSecrets.org, and think it's phenomenal.  You're the best.  We're beginning to understand better than ever why the mass media machine is censoring certain candidates...but we rely on bloggers, real journalists, and readers, people like you to make all the difference in the news.

Many aspects of America have been craftily restructured behind the scenes in the last few decades as to who is padding whose pockets, and why:  that is quite evident in the booming corporate monopolies of our telecommunications companies, our cable companies, all the way down the line to gas stations, retail stores, etc...and the fall of the little guy, economically speaking.  That is undeniable to anyone who truly thinks about it.

And in our opinion, if Ron Paul or a candidate like him - who speaks out against this and insists on separation of business and politics, and no AT&T and Verizon-allowed wiretapping deals with the administration - does not get elected into Washington (soon), our country is at a great risk of never being restored to the individuals' best interest.  Again, that is in our humble opinion...but campaign donations do not lie.

But because of people like us, and Crooks & Liars, Prison Planet, The Raw Story, Think Progress, Truthout, VOA News, of course Google (who lets the viewers choose their own news), all of the great sites that work so hard on behalf of the truth - we have a chance.  Don't you worry.
