Foxy Brown gets into a fight
behind bars
Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

Look, I don't like the fact that anything
from a traffic ticket to your mortgage payments is public knowledge
these days. But as long as it is, we're free to tell you that Foxy
Brown, 28, is currently in solitary confinement, after "behavioral
issues" at Rikers Island, where she is currently serving a year's jail
time for probation violation.
I feel for the girl! Riker's
Island? Holy crap.
A spokesman for the New York City
Department of Correction announced to one and all that Inga Marchand,
AKA Foxy Brown (Inga? Am I serious?) got into a shoving match with
another prisoner on October 3rd, and had to be forcibly
separated.
Neither of the women were injured, but a
day later, Foxy allegedly got verbally abusive towards guards and
refused to take a mandatory drug test. I say allegedly because I
wasn't there, and that's what the guards say. Foxy has no
comment.
Her manager, Chaz Williams, told
MTV News that she shouldn't be isolated, and that the
officials aren't following proper procedure when it comes to her
health.
She is serving time after Judge Melissa C.
Jackson gave her a year to think about her actions, which include
multiple assault accusations, leaving the state without the court's
permission, and missing court dates.
"I hope you turn your life around and never
again have to stand in a court of law," Jackson told her last
month.
Foxy is working on an album from prison
called Brooklyn's Don Diva, which is coming out Nov. 20th, and
has a website at freefoxbrown.com. And
I am not digging the fur coat on the homepage.
The woman that she got into a scuffle with
is also in solitary confinement.
