Five For Fighting Makes Fighting Autism A Reality
Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

More children will be diagnosed with Autism this year than AIDS, diabetes, and cancer combined:  about sixty-seven children per day, to be precise.  This is what John Ondrasik, aka Five For Fighting (the band that had hits like "Superman (It's Not Easy)"), WhatKindOfWorldDoYouWant.com, and AutismSpeaks.org want you to know.

Autism is a neurological (brain) disorder that impairs social interaction and communication, and causes restricted and repetitive behavior, which can be mild to severe, beginning in children and lasting for a lifetime.  There is currently no cure for autism, but Five For Fighting is fighting to change that.

Whether or not you know anyone affected by the disorder, it's impossible not to have sympathy for these children when you know their plight.

But thanks to Five For Fighting and What Kind Of World Do You Want (which is also the name of the song playing in the video), you can send $1.00 to an autism charity - or other charity - without spending a single penny.

Every time this video is viewed, $1.00 is donated to autismspeaks.org.  The video, launched in September, has already had over 741,000 views.

Or, choose from all charity videos, which will also receive $1 per view, at WhatKindOfWorldDoYouWant.com's home page.

Many thanks to Michelle for sending us this video!
