It's Save The Seals Time Again
Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 by Connie T.

We may sound like a broken record, begging you to help put a stop to the massive seal hunts
time and time again. But for once there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.
In the first
week of may, the European Parliament is scheduled to vote on whether or not the European Union
should ban seal products. The decision, if affirmative, would deal a giant blow to the commercial
sealing industry that leaves bloodshed across the waters East of Newfoundland, Canada every year from
November 15th to May 15th.
Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, and yet others have
all voted in support of banning seal slaughter and/or the hunting of baby seals. And to further the
world's progress towards humane conditions for these animals, there a few new things you can do to help.
 1. Ask your
Senators to help stop the largest slaughter of marine mammals in the world by cosponsoring the Levin-Collins
Canadian seal hunt resolution.
2. Support Canadian Senator
Mac Harb's Bill to end the killings.
3. Sign Care2's petition, over
75,000 voices strong.
You can make change! (Thanks, Alicia!)
