White House Says No Bailout For California
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 by Connie T.

White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs said today that the federal government is not going
to be able to assist California in their current budget crisis. Looks like the Digital Textbook initiative
will be underway in August!
"It's obviously not an easy time for the state of California," he said. "We'll continue to monitor the challenges that
they have, but this budgetary problem is one that they're going to have to solve."
State Controller John Chiang
said last week that California is "less than 50 days away from a meltdown of state government." Yikes! We already
invite Hollywood to the White House...why not turn to some of those celebrity residents to assist? Make it tax deductible.
