The FCC Says TMZ Is 'Bona
Fide'

The Federal Communications Commission has ruled
that TMZ's magazine show is a "bona fide" news program. Before you
get all freaked out keep in mind they said the same thing about the 700
Club and ABC Family.
The reasoning behind this is that the FCC
says TMZ "reports news of some area of current events in a manner similar
to more traditional newscasts." I wonder if they're watching the same show
everybody else is.
Anyways, the long and short of it is that now
TMZ can have some of the political candidates on their program. As long as
it doesn't look like they're is an advantage to that candidate over
another one then they don't even have to offer equal air time.
So,
who at the FCC gets to decide in they're violating the equal opportunities
rule? And if they do investigate it will the election be over
already?
