What Do You Think Of The New FCC Ruling?

Don't worry, I'm just being facetious with the accompanying photo. But it
doesn't look like Henry Miller's Tropic of Cancer will be on TV anytime soon. We
are curious to know what you think of the recent Supreme Court ruling. As you may have heard, the Court ruled this week that the FCC
has the power to crack down on profanity (yes, you may have no idea what the standup comedian
is saying when you watch Comedy Central from now on). The vote was 5-4 in favor of
allowing big fines for "fleeting expletives."
Part of the argument by network execs
was that the "F" word (or other execrations) do not always refer to a sexual act, and therefore
are not as "indecent" as they're being labeled.
Justice Antonin Scalia disagreed, writing
that "Even when used as an expletive, the F-word's power to insult and offend derives from its
sexual meaning." Alright, fess up: who gave the power to the F word?
