At the 80th Annual Academy Awards
yesterday, No Country For Old Men took home four Oscars; Daniel
Day-Lewis kissed George Clooney after winning the Best Actor award; Marion
Cotillard gave a touching speech after winning Best Actress for La Vie
En Rose; Tida Swinton said she was giving her award away to her agent
(though reportedly he said he wouldn't accept it).
A lot went down, and
you can view the entire winners list of yesterday's Oscar's here. We just want to share with you our favorite
part of the night (which was definitely not the Daily Show's Jon
Stewart's opening monologue about Iraq movies emboldening
the audience one day).
George Clooney was there in all of his
tuxedo best, and introduced a series of clips that gave us all a look back
on some of the best Oscar moments in history. It was, to say the
least, both significant and memorable; and Clooney opened it up with a
simple, friendly, "Hi, you guys."
Watch the video
clip:
Clooney was a nominee for Best Leading Actor. Though he didn't
take home the Oscar for it, Tilda Swinton did snag Best Actress in a
Supporting Role for her part in Clooney's Michael Clayton.
And of course, he will always be a Heart Of Gold
award-winner to us!
