U.S. dollar
Friday, October 19th,
2007

Last month, for the first time since
1976, the Canadian loonie beat out the American dollar.
And today, the European currency Euro has hit a record high against the
dollar. What's next, the yen?
The euro rose to $1.4320 over the
U.S. dollar and a - how psychic am I - three-week low against the
yen. The dollar fell 0.45 percent to 114.88 yen on electronic
trading platform EBS, its lowest since early October.
The dollar index, which measures the dollar's performance against a
basket of major currencies, dipped to a record low around 77.406.
