During overtime at the game between the
Georgia Bulldogs and the Crimson Tide Saturday night, ESPN announcer
Mike Patrick randomly said, "I have an important question. What
is Britney doing with her life?" I can't even tell you how hard
this made me laugh, especially when the other announcer went,
"Who?" Here's the clip:
You men may have been mad because it came
before a critical play, but when I'm forced to watch football, I
seriously live for these moments when the announcers get cheeky.
Last week a conversation about a toe injury led an announcer to launch
into the story of Achilles and his heel, and then the other guys
ripped him to shreds for going on a tangent about Greek mythology
during the game...equally entertaining. Unfortunately I don't
have a clip of that one.
