Hunter Tylo For Epilepsy Awareness
Monday, November 17th, 2008 by Connie T.

Hunter Tylo, an actress on The Bold and the Beautiful soap opera, knows her
share of real-life drama and loss. Her daughter Katya survived a rare form of eye cancer called retinoblastoma. Nearly 10 years
later, her 19-year old son, Michael Tylo, Jr., was not as lucky and died by drowning in the family pool while experiencing a
seizure.
In honor of Mickey's memory, Hunter takes an active role in American Epilepsy Outreach Foundation
(AEOF).
"This information can save a life," she said. "Everyone needs to learn the facts about epilepsy...Epilepsy
can be very serious. It is my goal to work with [AEOF] to support those who suffer and to educate so others do
not experience the great loss I have."
This month is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. An estimated 2.4
million new cases of epilepsy are diagnosed each year, according to the World Health Organization.

There are various ways to get involved: as simple as sending out an e-mail or getting informed, all the way up
to hosting a fun and charitable fundraiser for the cause. Find out what your options are here.
