While Nancy Grace Shows Victim's Footage, VH1 Shows Hogans Back-to-back
Thursday, June 19th, 2008

The Hogan family has gotten
quite the bit of press coverage lately: from Nick Hogan Bollea's "emotional duress" behind
bars and jailhouse phone calls to parents Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea and Linda Bollea Hogan (in a
portion of one, Nick uses the word "like" eight times in three sentences, including, "It's like half
the size of my bathroom...tell, like, Kevin, either I have to get a work release or we
have to appeal it or something, because I can't stay here");
to Hulk Hogan appearing on Larry King Live last week looking sad and talking
about his son's confinement. (Seriously, can he not wear that bandanna to
court dates and serious interviews?)
To somewhat slightly
balance the coverage, CNN aired an exclusive video on "Nancy Grace" Wednesday,
showing a portion of what Marine John Graziano's life is like now, in a semi-conscious
state following the car crash in which Nick was found accountable.
Both
videos made us sad: honestly, we feel sorry for Terry Bollea. His sadness is
palpable, and we've never thought him a half-bad guy (though our instict-o-meter has
gone off the hizzy on Nick from day one, and didn't fail us).
Anyhow, we're flipping channels this
morning and come upon two straight hours of back-to-back "Hogan Knows Best" reruns.
It is two different channels and two separate networks, but geez, can't VH1 find a
better filler for this time frame...if even just while Nick's in jail? Oh where,
oh where has the sanity gone? If VH1 airs "The New Nick," we are going to be so
pissed off.
