Drew Carey Defends Use of Medical Marijuana

He's from Cleveland...he's hilarious...and he wants to help sick people that need medical marijuana.  Could we love Drew Carey any more?

Comedian, TV Host, and Actor Drew Carey took a stand for cannabis on Thursday, posting a video online at Reason.tv defending the use of medicinal marijuana.

"Smell that smell," the 49-year-old comedian says as he walks into a Los Angeles medical marijuana dispensary. "That's the smell of freedom."

Drew Carey is the new host of "Price is Right."  Although the show will continue to close their daily episodes with Bob Barker's traditional spay-and-neuter refrain, Carey will continue posting mini-documentaries every two weeks through the end of the year on Reason.tv, and topics will include eminent domain, school choice, and immigration.

"I think it's clear by now that the federal government needs to reclassify marijuana.  People who need it should be able to get it - safely and easily," Carey says.  The video examines patients who need and use medical marijuana in California, and how the federal government is "making their lives even worse."
