Blam, Dog The Bounty Hunter Is Back
Wednesday, February 20th, 2008
As the Dog says: "Blam!"
Duane "Dog" Chapman, the bounty hunter on the
A&E series that was cancelled "indefinitely" over a
racial slur that made it from his phone conversation, to
the National Enquirer, to the world, will be going back on the
air. The show was pulled in November of 2007; afterwards, Dog
appeared on national television apologizing (and, in fact, many of you
have e-mailed us since asking when their bounty hunter series will be
back).
Reuters reports that "an A&E spokesman said the
network had decided to start production again of 'Dog The Bounty Hunter,'
but no airdate has yet been scheduled." A&E also
mentioned that Duane has "taken and continues to take the appropriate
steps in reaching out to several African American organizations in an
effort to make amends for his private comments to his son which were
released publicly."
No word yet on whether or not Duane's "brother
in spirit," Tim Chapman - who was arrested last month after performing a nude act
(solo) in his pickup truck in a Honolulu shopping center parking lot
- will be returning to the series.
A&E is an NBC channel (which
are all owned by General Electric).
So what do think? Yay or nay to the return of the
Dog?
