Police uncover three canine corpses at DMX's residence
in Phoenix.
Phoenix, Arizona police have removed twelve pit bulls from the home
of rapper DMX. They'd received a tip that there were dogs being
kept in inhumane conditions in the home. Detectives raided the
property yesterday and found a dozen pit bulls, which allegedly were
not getting food or water. DMX was not home at the time of the
raid.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, claims he hasn't been
home, and the dogs were supposed to have been cared for. Murray
Richman, his lawyer, said he hasn't been to the property in Arizon for
arond two months, and that the caretaker they hired to care for the dogs
was supposed to make sure they were okay.
"He loves dogs, he
loves these animals," Richman said. "Those dogs are practically
his family."
Even
stranger, according to a report from KSAZ-TV in Phoenix, additional
searching of the property turned up three dead dogs, one of which
"seemed to be burned."
