Dick Cheney Indicted For Criminal Activity
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008 by Connie T.

Give me a moment to bask in the glow of the title of this article. Vice President Dick Cheney
has been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for "organized criminal activity" regarding an alleged abuse of private
prison inmates. It may not be the war crimes
charges some of us may have been hoping for...but could it be the tip of an iceberg?
Both Cheney and former
U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales have been indicted by a Texas grand jury for conflict of interest: Cheney invested
$85 million in the Vanguard Group, who contracts with the U.S. Government to operate Federal prisons and detention
centers. Within these private prisons, "at least misdemeanor assaults" are said to have taken place, and both Cheney and Gonzales are
being charged with conspiracy to block an investigation.
Alberto Gonzales was among the slew of those who left the George W. Bush
Administration tarnished (ahem, Paul Wolfowitz, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld, Lewis Scooter Libby, just to name a few): Gonzales resigned
amid various controversies and allegations of perjury before Congress.
