Is there any wonder that he earned our
coveted Heart of Gold Award? (Speaking of which, we haven't given one out in a while...if there's
anyone you'd like to nominate, just leave it in the comments section!) Denzel Washington has
paired up with Shaquille O'Neal, Martin Sheen and Wesley Clark to help the
Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
It was announced on Wednesday that the dynamic foursome
will lend their childhood photos to the "BE GREAT" campaign, which asks people to volunteer
at their local clubs to help children who need adult care, supervision, and love to be anything
they want to be.
Denzel told the press this week, What's going on with children doesn't
worry me. What's going on with adults worries me. If we are not more committed to these young
people...they will go as far as we take them...We've created this world for them, we are the
ones that fall and we are the ones that can rectify it.
Check out the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to
see how you can help make a difference in children's lives who need your positive influence. Also
stop by BeGreat.org to see the great
project that Denzel, Shaquille, Martin, and Wes are getting involved in.
