Republican Delegates Sue Nevada
Thursday, July 24th, 2008 by Connie T.

Over two dozen Republican delegates in Nevada are doing what those in every State with
binding Party regulations ought to be doing: suing. If you recall, the April convention
came to a screeching halt when
Ron Paul supporters disagreed with being forced to vote for presumptive nominee John McCain.
The complaint is challenging the state GOP's rule that delegates to the Republican National
Convention must follow the national delegates chosen by the GOP Executive Committee.
"Over a thousand delegates attended the convention in April, and the state executive
party officials are attempting to silence all of them," said Wayne Terhune, a Ron Paul
supporter and one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed last week in Washoe County District. "This
is completely against the traditions of the Republican Party and the United States of America."
