Patrick Wins The Japan Indy 300
Monday,
April 21st, 2008 by Esmerelda
Danica Patrick became the first female
winner in IndyCar history yesterday after 50 races. Danica took the lead
from Dancing with the Stars winner Helio Castroneves in the 198th lap of a
200 lap race. She finished 5.8594 seconds ahead of him.
Danica
competed in her first IndyCar race in 2005 at Homestead-Miami. She became
the first woman to lead the pole at the Indy500 and took fourth place
there. She finished seventh in the season standings last year when she
came in second at Belle Isle.
She says the best part of her win is
that "I've been asked so many times when and if I can win my first race
and finally, no more of those questions."
Congrats
Danica!!
