View On His CBS Lawsuit

We had contacted the P.R. department
for Dan Rather's legal counsel recently, with a list of questions
regarding the progress of his lawsuit against CBS Corp. for his
allegations of unlawful termination. They were very friendly and
responded that they would try and answer our questions, and we were hoping
to get an exclusive - but,
hey, I couldn't even dream of competing with the
legendary Barbara Walters, who ended up snagging Dan Rather for
a sitdown on The View that aired today.
I'm okay with
that, as long as someone's reporting on it.
"Thanks for asking,"
Dan Rather said when Barbara Walters asked about the status of his
lawsuit. "I appreciate the interest of people and those who have
supported us, I really appreciate it."
I'm still going to pretend
that was directed at us, though.
If you don't watch the clip,
you'll also miss Joy Behar calling Dan Rather a "sex god" after he
finishes kissing all the girl's cheeks.
I'm glad Dan upated all of us
- I don't care what anyone says, the man was and still is, at heart, a
good journalist...and person. And I hope he kicks CBS's ass, too.
