CNN's
Censorship
Of Ron Paul Soars To New Heights
Monday, March
24th, 2008
Now that there are only four presidential
candidates left in the race - two Democrats, Senator's Barack
Obama and Hillary Clinton; and two
Republicans, Senator John McCain and Congressman
Ron Paul - you would think that CNN would finally have
to shrug their shoulders and actually post the truth. You'd think
now that Paul is no longer one of 10, or one of 5 - now that he's the
only other Republican candidate left, they'd have to finally
acknowledge him. You'd think
wrong. On CNN's Election Center homepage today, the snapshot above
is what they actually have up. Instead of placing Ron Paul next to
John McCain, CNN has placed John McCain's head higher than all the other
candidates (Democratic and Republican) with the caption "PRESUMPTIVE
NOMINEE" below him; and Mike Huckabee, who dropped out of the race this
month, is in the place where Ron Paul belongs, with a stamp that lets
you know Huckabee's "OUT."
Presumptive means "based on probability or
presumption, reasonable opinion, or belief." Sure, President Bush and the
National GOP have already declared John McCain the winner, as
well. But all of these media outlets and even the Republican Party themselves
have been the very ones who have refused to address Ron Paul all along. CNN got away with their unequal
coverage in their Republican debate in Simi Valley, California in
January. They've gotten away with leaving Ron Paul out of their
articles, their interviews, their broadcast. It is highly ironic
that when a major world event is going on, people flick on CNN, when in
truth, we are only getting the version of the story that CNN wants to
give us.
We got a message today from a reader named Linda
Inveninato regarding our thank you to CNBC's Kudlow & Company for giving
Ron Paul airtime last week to discuss the Federal Reserve and the gold
standard. Linda wrote:
"Some time back,
as we all became aware of the MSM [mainstream media] attacks and then
blacklisting of Dr. Paul, my family and I stopped watching the MSM news
programs in favor of Internet news presentations. It was through
Yahoo News Alerts that we found you, ConnieTalk.
"It will take
more than a single interview for us to return to watching MSM.
'Century of War' McCain, and 'end the Iraq war' liars Obama and Clinton
receive hundreds of news spots per day. Their propaganda is like
sugar to its viewers. Addictive poison...
"When will the
MSM ask the tough questions to the frontrunners? Never. It's
all a dog and pony show for our entertainment. We cannot forgive
and forget the MSM abuse of all the peacemaker candidates. We now
seek the truth, properly documented, through the
Internet.
"Hopefully, someday there will be truthful television
news media again...
"But, for this election, America will choose
a president from liars presented by liars."
Linda, I
couldn't agree with you more. It is a sad, sorry shame. But
until the rest of America fully realizes - compares
the internet to the boob tube and realizes just how this election
is being manipulated by the mass media - the most I can hope to do is
inform, thank those that stray from the MSM's blacklisting (like
afore-mentioned Kudlow & Company), and voice my boycott to those
that are blatantly shielding our eyes and choosing our options for
us.
I encourage everyone to send letters of complaint en masse
