Don't believe the hype: Hillary Clinton has not dropped out
of the race, despite the media's reports to the contrary. On June 1st Hillary Rodham Clinton
told a crowd in Puerto Rico, "The people have spoken and have chosen their candidate." She's
arguing that she has won the popular vote.
The Democratic National Committee ruled on
Saturday to allow the delegates from Michigan and Florida, but that each delegate would only
represent one-half of a vote, as a penalty for the states holding their primaries too
early. Hillary, therefore, is too far behind: but the Clinton camp has advised that
that Clinton said to keep her options open to fight this all the way to the Democratic Convention in August.
"Let me tell you something," Hillary said. "When it comes to finishing the
fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit."
Meanwhile, Barack
Obama gave a speech saying that he will be the Democratic nominee.
We do think that Barack will carry the nomination for the Dems, but
it is blatantly unfair that press coverage has been so, not only negative, but
misleading when it comes to reporting on Hillary Clinton. Come on, admit it.
