It's been said that talk show queen Oprah Winfrey's ratings suffered after
she came on so strong with her pro-Barack Obama endorsement. Comedian Chris Rock,
however, who also endorses Obama and even performed stand-up at Obama rallies, is just as popular
as ever.
Rock just performed to a sold out audience at Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario (above). And
in May, Chris broke a record for the biggest live comedy audience when he did his act for
14,500 people at the O2 Arena in London (though that record was just
broken by German comedian Mario Barth in Berlin).
He's currently bopping around
on his No Apologies World
Tour, in which he will next see Windsor, Ottawa, Minneapolis, Chicago, Honolulu, Atlantic City, Uncasville,
Vancouver, Seattle Las Vegas, London, and New York City.
We're usually not thrilled by comedians
that mix too much of politics, race, and gender issues into their routines. After all, comedy can be
funny without being segregational and/or offense. Chris Rock, however, is one of those artists that
almost always gets it right.
