Bring On Chinese Democracy And Dr. Pepper
Friday, November 21st, 2008 by Connie T.

On Sunday, millions of Guns N' Roses fans will have their first album fix in exactly
15 years. Yes, it will be exactly 15 years to the day that their last album, The Spaghetti Incident,
was released on November 23, 1993. On November 23rd, 2008, Chinese Democracy will be on sale exclusively
at Best Buy's.
ConnieTalk was at GN'R's 2006 concert in Cleveland, when the band Eagles of Death Metal
was kicked off GN'R's tour as the opening act, after just one performance. Eagles of Death Metal performed to
a crowd of boo's, until Axl Rose took the stage and asked the "Pigeons of Sh*t Metal," as he dubbed them,
never to come back. So it stands to reason that the Eagles' frontman Jesse Hughes has a bone or two to
pick with Axl.
But when asked what he thought of GN'R's new Chinese Democracy album, Hughes admitted,
"You can't say it's a bad record; you just can't do it." The new album - which is streaming live on Guns N' Roses'
MySpace page - is getting reviews from even the
toughest critics that call it worth every minute of a 15-year wait.
We can't wait to go get it on Sunday...and
don't forget, you only have 24 hours - beginning at 12:01 am EST on 11/23/08 - to go to drpepper.com
and claim your FREE can of Dr. Pepper. You know, because they said
they would.
