Cher Is A Prisoner To Mean Paparazzi
Tuesday, February 12th,
2008
I remember seeing a photo a few years ago of Cher
swinging some object at a paparazzo while she was on a jog outside her
home - and I remember thinking, "Wow, that Cher is crazy." I hadn't
woken up yet to how cruel the media has become. After I started this
news blog, I learned how vicious they and their photographers can truly
be. I guess I was the crazy one.
"The paparazzi have moved
into my town," Cher told USA Today. "I used to be able to run around in my
sweats. Now I'm a prisoner. I think 'scum' is the perfect word
for these people. They're meaner now. Before, they would be
happy to get a picture. Now they want something salacious, or to
make you feel bad."
"Everything's more mean-spirited now. My
Sister was telling me about a show that hooks people up to lie
detectors. I don't like reality shows. I saw American Idol
one time and said, 'Well, I never need to see this again.' I thought
it was boring. I wasn't entertained."
