Holding Congressmen Who Voted For Bailout Accountable
Monday, October 20th, 2008 by Connie T.
The Campaign For Liberty - the website through which Congressman Ron Paul
has been reaching out to his grassroots supporters - is now going after those in Congress who
voted in favor of the Wall Street Bailout. The site has set a $325,000 goal to fund e-mails,
newspaper ads, radio ads, and phone calls to inform the American voters of the members of Congress
in their district who supported the banks bailout.
Ron Paul was on CNN's American Morning
over the weekend, and said, Everybody now
is realizing in the country there is something seriously wrong with our whole financial system
and our governmental system...The big question is, does the majority of the American people believe
the government can still take care of us, or should we get the government out of the way,
quit spending money, balance the budget, bring our troops home, and let the American people keep
the money they earn?
That means drastically reducing taxes, getting the government out of
this overregulation, and give up on this idea that inflation solves everybody's problems.
