Use Static Electricity To Charge Your Cell Phone

Designer Amanda Parkes has figured out a way to harness all that
static electricity that builds up.
She's actually designed clothing
that creates a piezoelectric effect on purpose. Which I'm pretty sure
means they get static build up deliberately. The only difference is that
her clothes have a small battery that stores the energy for later.
Perhaps one day soon she'll design one with a plug in so you can
recharge your iPod or cell phone while you dance away the
evening.
Just don't grab that door
handle.
