Fashion gurus and stylistas are redesigning everything these days, and the
latest product to get a facelift is Camel brand cigarettes. Camel's, owned by R.J. Reynolds
Tobacco Company, took on various changes this year including the text displayed on their packaging. Now
Camel No. 9's have swapped out their little black box for turquoise, pink, and black printed ones,
drawn up by L.A. and New York fashion designers.
The No. 9's on the left were designed by Sarah Muenchrath, a Brooklyn, New York stylist and fashion
designer originally from Germany. This pack was created with a Turkish ornament-inspired
look.
The design of the middle pack, 9 & 9 Menthol, was created by New York City
fashion guru Jennifer Wannarachue.
And the pack on the right was designed by
Los Angeles Fashion Designer and reality TV participant Santino Rice. He was a contestant
on Project Runway, as well as a guest on America's Most Smartest Model and a judge
for Miss Universe 2006.
What do you think - does the design of the pack matter that
much, or is it just what's inside that counts?
