In Memory Of Army Pvt. Branden P. Haunert

Today's
soldier to remember is Army Pvt. Branden P. Haundert. Brandon was a 21-year-old
from Cincinnati, Ohio, a member of the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade
Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Pvt. Haunert
died on May 18th, 2008, from wounds suffered when his vehicle encountered an improvised
explosive device (IED); according to family, he died at the scene.
The Department of Defense confirmed his death on May 20th.
He is survived by his father, Bill Haunert of Blue Ash, Ohio, his mother Tammy, and his five brothers. Branden enlisted
in the Army just last year. He is a 2005 graduate of Sycamore High School, and attended the
University of Cincinnati.
