It's
Not Too Late To Make It Right With Katrina
Victims
Saturday, January 12th, 2008

Hey, nobody's perfect - even
we miss a positive story here and there. Brad Pitt started a
national fundraising campaign effort before the holidays to help the
city of New Orleans recover from Hurricane Katrina, starting with 150
homes in the Lower 9th Ward. But here's double good news:
it's not too late to help!
The U.S. Government may not have properly helped
all of the victims of Hurricane Katrina, which is a shame, but it's not
too late for us as citizens to help our own. The families of New
Orleans need your help, and every donation is a contribution that will
help rebuild homes for the families that lost their houses in the
hurricane.

1. At MakeItRightNola.org, Brad's
site for the Make It Right campaign, you can actually adopt a house to be rebuilt, and
choose the items to donate to a family. Just take a look, it's
very cool!
2. Open this homepage, and you'll immediately see a giant Brad Pitt talking to
you on the screen - his video intro welcoming you to the Make It Right
Campaign. Knowledge is power, so go edumacate yourself about
it! (Yeah, I spelled it that way on purpose)
3. Maybe you want more bang for your
buck - or, your donation, in this case. Well, Brad's signature
newsboy caps are sold out on the site, but there are still unisex
t-shirts, ball caps, and hot pink tote bags for sale, the proceeds for
which goexclusively to building new Make It
Right homes.
Brad Pitt
isdefinitely not in this to make a
buck. No wonder we love them so!! Go check it out, and help
spread the word about the Make It Right
Campaign!
Wait! There's more! More News >>
