Bloomberg To Change The Law For His Own Benefit
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008 by Connie T.

This does not surprise me at all. Enrage, yes; but surprise, no. New York Mayor
Michael Bloomberg wants to change the law so that he can run for a third term.
As the
AP
points out, Bloomberg vetoed a similar bill to extend the terms for officials back in 2002. But
now that his potential re-election is involved, the tune has changed.
Bloomberg is the one
who founded the Bloomberg News and financial services company (which is currently pumping out articles about
the threat of not
passing the Wall Street / bankers bailout bill). His ties to big media and big corporations are obvious, and he
is oft-seen alongside celebrities for various photo ops in NYC. He's been called the Andrew
Volstead of tobacco products, vehemently opposing smokers' rights and giving the Big Apple anti-smoking
laws stricter than 95% of the world. He made front page news for not running for President this
term (not that we know who expected him to). He's been a member of both the Republican and Democratic Parties
On Thursday, he is expected to announce that he
wants to overturn the term-limit law so that he can run for Mayor for another four years.
And if you ask me, he is one of the most dangerous politicians in our nation.
