BET Awards Mix New Hits With Classics

The 2008 BET Awards went down last night. Were you watching? The crowd rose to
their feet as Al Green performed his hits "Let's Stay Together" and "Love and Happiness." There
were also musical performances by Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Chris Brown,
and Nelly.
Alicia Keys won Female R&B Artist of the year; Chris Brown won
Male R&B artist; UGK won Group of the year.
The list of other notable winners are: Marvin
Sapp won Gospel Artist; Missy Elliott won Female Hip-Hop Artist; Kanye West won Male Hip-Hop
Artist; The-Dream won New Artist; Kanye West featuring T-Pain won Best Collaboration for
"Good Life."
The Video of the Year went to UGK featuring Outkast for "International
Player's Anthem (I Choose You)." Actress of the Year went to Halle Berry, and Actor of the Year to
Denzel Washington.
