Bernanke Wants ANOTHER Bailout
Monday, October 20th, 2008 by Connie T.

We're still not over
the last federal government bailout, and now Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke is
speaking out in approval of Congress passing another one.
Bernanke testified before
the House Budget Committee today, advising that Congress should consider passing an additional
stimulus package to put more tax dollars into the economy, suggesting it could take place
sometime between elections in November and the inauguration of our new President in January (you
know, when everyone's distracted). And that's not to be confused with stimulus as in your stimulus
check, because in this case you wouldn't get one.
And guess who was there cheering on Bernanke's comments? House
Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who gave a
big speech last time in opposition to a bailout. Pelosi released the following statement:
Chairman Bernanke added his voice to the chorus of
economists, experts and policymakers who insist that America needs a job-creating recovery
package to get our economy back on track and to restore consumer and investor confidence.
White House spokeswoman Dana Perino indicated that the Bush administration is "open to ideas and
we'll take a look at what comes our way."
