The Bank Bailout: Telling Congress NO
Thursday, September 25th, 2008 by Connie T.

Did everyone get to see President George W. Bush give his address
to the nation last night regarding the economy and his proposed $700 billion big bank
bailout? If not, you didn't miss much. Basically he said that we all have lots of questions
about how we got here - which, those of us who have been following the national deficit since
the Iraq invasion really don't.
Why can't Pres. Bush allow the word "war" to pass his
lips when he discusses the tragic state of our economy? Americans can add 2 + 2. It's as if
he cannot admit that this war didn't and won't pay for itself, that we got in over our heads,
that we're massively borrowing from China and Japan; and his solution to solving the problem is
to make sure the rich are just as rich as they were before.
After yesterday's message
from Ron Paul and last night's address from the President, we were itching to take action,
so this morning I made a personal phone call to my Rep in Congress.
Here's the video - enjoy! And
please contact your Rep and leave us a comment about it. If just 5% of America could pick up
that phone and voice the displeasure about this that they feel - and, according to the polls, 93% of
Americans disagree with the bailout - there would be 15 million calls to Congress and this
measure surely would be struck down.
