Schwarzenegger Says Republicans Know Global Warming Is Reality
Monday, April 21st,
2008

Not that I make it a habit of watching Fox &
Friends, but I find it interesting to occasionally try to figure out
what Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is talking
about. Arnold was on FOX yesterday and Brian Kilmeade asked the
Republican Governor why "a lot of Republicans in particular don't
believe there is Global Warming [or] Climate Change." I think
Kilmeade phrased that question wrong: many Republicans don't believe
there's manmade climate change as a result of carbon
emissions. And I'm not saying there is or there isn't because I'm
not a scientist, I'm just going by the many opinions I've heard from
others, and the gist of the Manhattan Declaration, etc.
Arnold's lip curled
in a little smile and he responded, "Well, I think they know the
reality. I think they're just trying to protect business. And
in the end, they're hurting business."
Look, I'm all for a greener
way to live. I'm just worried about paying more taxes than
the ones I already can't afford! FOX quickly moved the conversation on
to upper body strength and Mr. Universe jargon - no
clue how that's related to climate change doubt, but hey, it's the Arnold.
(And FOX.)
