American Idol Gets Girl Power

Next season American Idol will have a fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi. Kara
is the 2006 BMI Songwriter of the Year. She's also had her work recorded by previous idols,
Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken and Bo Bice.
Why
are they adding another judge? Well there was talk of giving Paula Abdul reinforcements, adding
"Girl Power" and the fact that international versions of the show have four judges. Of course,
there's also the little matter of slipping ratings.
If you're wondering what they'll do
in the event of a tied vote between the judges, a spokesperson said Simon Cowell would be the
tie breaker.
Should be an interesting season.
