Angelina Jolie Knows All Walks Of Life...So What?

The UK's paper The Sun has dug up vintage video of Angelina Jolie, at 23 years old and allegedly in a "drug den."  In an article - published today, and entitled, "From Heroin To Heroine" (even though Angie didn't take any drugs in the video) - The Sun writes, "The shocking scenes show just how far she has come to now travel the Third World as a UN ambassador."

Ain't that far from the truth.  If you ask us, we feel the exact opposite:  it is from visiting people in all areas of the social spectrum, and educating one's self outside the prepackaged "box," that people realize there's so much more out there, and seek to expand their horizons.  So she was hanging in a New York hotel with some less-than-savory people.  She wasn't doing anything but talking and exploring human behavior.  She was obvs a bit of a wild child...big deal.

Yeah, yeah, she said she killed her hamster by accident and "wanted to" kill her snake...she was just talking.  What child hasn't squeezed a frog or a lizard too hard out of exuberance?  Meh.

"In the video," Sun's Emily Smith writes, "shot in 1999 when she was 23, the actress brags about loving sado-masochistic sex - and killing her pets."  It's probably stuff like this that's led Jolie to saying "I think I've got too many skeletons in my closet for politics" in the past.

We think a colorful background prepares a person more for governmental positions:  after all, the government is supposed to represent all of our people, not some.  But whatever, I'm an idealist, then.

As for me, I far prefer this Jolie quote to the unearthed video:
"I'm just honest.  I like that I don't have to worry about what I say.  I really don't have the time or energy to pretend and I don't want to live that way."
