Amanda Beard Sheds Duds For PETA

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the only Olympics coverage you will find
on ConnieTalk.com, because as you know, we are boycotting
all things Olympics this summer due to China's ties to the oppression in Tibet and
the extreme violence in Darfur. The Olympic Charter, after all, claims to embody a way of
life with "good example and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles." And
there is certainly nothing ethical about the human rights crises China is involved in.
I digress. Women everywhere are gazing longingly at the abs of Olympic athlete Amanda Beard,
who has dropped trou for an anti-fur ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
(PETA).
Most fur originates from China,
and the fur industry there skins dogs, cats, raccoons, and many other animals, alive.
"It brings me to tears," Amanda said. "What [some people] think is pretty is actually
something that's very gruesome and gross."
